While on our leisure cruise up the Sacramento River, you will be entertained by live music as we meander up the Sacramento River. We depart from San Francisco on Friday, August 29th at 9 AM sharp...boarding begins at 7:30 AM til 8:30. You will feel the early morning chill on San Francisco Bay, but soon it will warm up and your coats will be tossed aside for something much more comfortable and cool. A huge onboard barbecue chuck wagon will start cooking up the main meal of the day, served buffet style. Plan on relaxing with a book or just gazing over the ship's side as we pass roads, houses, cows and lots of other boats. We usually end up greeting all the boat traffic with a few huge blasts on our steam whistle to announce our arrival! Sometimes we are even strafed by friendly aircraft as we cruise! All the common areas of the ship are open for you to explore as well as the triple expansion reciprocating steam engine- a marvel of engineering even to most sophisticated steam engine afficionado.

Another afternoon snack prepared by the ship's Steward's Department will be served. The Captain announces the points of interest as he and our pilot navigate the river. We will arrive at the Port of Sacramento about 6:30 or 7 and disembark. Waiting will be air-conditioned charter buses for the return bus ride back to the city.

Our inbound cruise will leave Sacramento on September 2, Tuesday and will return to San Francisco at the same times. All river and land transportation is included in the fare. The cost of a one way fare is $175 and it includes the bus fare back to your point of origin. However you might plan on staying in the Sacramento area for a few days to visit the state capitol, the State Fair, the Railroad Museum, Sacramento Old Town and the "Goldrush Days"!
